Released under my own name in October of 2022.
This has roots in one of the first songs I ever wrote, changed multiple times, evolving each time I joined a new band. The progression was originally written as chords on a bass guitar, but here I play a baritone. At point, in one iteration long ago, this had a killer string section and trombone solo. This version is all me. My wife wrote the lyrics.
My grandpa gave me his collection of slides– photos he’d taken from all over the world, going as far back as the 50s. There were plenty of pictures of family, friends and landmarks, but even more of gardens, lakes and trees. I really miss him.
